Breakout Story Platform Redesign

Project Description: Breakout Story is a platform designed to help writers and screenwriters master story structure, develop ideas, and create industry-ready scripts. It offers workshops, coaching, free resources, and a community of writers.

The platform needed to clearly communicate its unique value proposition - namely that it’s run by an active Hollywood literary manager - without overwhelming visitors with jargon or industry insider terms.

It had to accommodate multiple product types (video workshops, one-on-one coaching, script feedback) while keeping navigation simple and intuitive.

It was important to build trust visually and socially (testimonials, credentials, examples of success) to convert visitors into paying customers.

Ensuring a seamless user flow from exploration → enrollment → delivery (workshop + coaching) - and integrating user accounts, content access, and feedback submission in one cohesive system.

Maintaining flexibility so that future new offerings, programs, or tiers could be added without requiring a full redesign.

I prioritized a clear, benefit-led homepage layout that immediately conveys the core promise: learning from a Hollywood insider. In the hero and value sections, I highlighted key pillars (Concept, Character, World, Story, POV) to orient visitors fast.

I structured the site hierarchy to separate free resources, workshops, and coaching clearly - giving users a guided path based on where they are in their journey.

I incorporated social proof and credibility signals prominently - testimonials, success stories, and the professional background of Conrad Sun - to reduce friction and build trust.

I built intuitive navigation and conversion funnels: from blog/resource → workshop → coaching → account/dashboard, ensuring users never feel lost or stuck mid-journey.

I created modular page/section templates (for course pages, coaching pages, resource pages) that could be reused or extended later, allowing Breakout Story to scale offerings without major rebuilds.

I implemented features for user feedback loops and iteration: after initial deployment we collected user analytics and feedback to refine calls to action, streamline forms, and tighten messaging based on real user behavior.
