[overview]

The Brief

Bluebow Research Consultancy is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm working across research, strategy, digital transformation, AI advisory, and software development. Their clients range from government agencies and international development organisations to startups and corporate partners across the UK, EU, and Africa. The brief was to design a web presence that communicated the depth and range of Bluebow's services — while remaining accessible, trustworthy, and premium in feel. The design needed to serve multiple audience types: public sector buyers, international NGOs, corporate clients, and tech talent — all arriving at the same homepage with different needs.
[the problem]

"A consultancy doing serious work across three continents needed a website that took itself seriously."

Bluebow had real credibility — NHS partnerships, UK government contracts, international development work — but their existing digital presence didn't fully communicate this weight. The challenge was building a site architecture that could hold the breadth of their services without becoming overwhelming, while surfacing the proof points — client logos, case studies, testimonials — that would convert sceptical enterprise buyers into conversations.

[what i designed]

One Platform. Many Stakeholders.

01

Homepage & Hero

A bold, statement-led hero that positions Bluebow as a premium, impact-driven consultancy — not a generic agency.
02

Services Architecture

Structured 12 service areas into scannable categories — Strategy & Policy, User Research, AI Advisory, Software Development, Data Analytics, and more — designed to help enterprise buyers quickly identify relevance.
03

Partner & Credibility Strip

A scrolling logo strip featuring NHS, Cabinet Office, Ministry of Defence, HM Revenue & Customs, and other institutional partners — designed to build immediate trust.
04

Portfolio & Case Study Section

Showcased flagship case studies including the NHS Data Flow Transformation Discovery Project and the Trace Recruit migration — framed as evidence of delivery, not just capability.
05

AI Insights Section

A thought leadership section positioning Bluebow as an AI-forward consultancy, using FAQ-driven content to address enterprise buyer concerns about AI readiness, ROI, and implementation.
06

Community & Talent Section

A section targeting emerging talent and intern audiences — keeping Bluebow's community-building mission visible alongside its enterprise services.

"The best B2B design earns trust before a word is read. That's the job of every layout decision."

The Result

The Bluebow website redesign gave the consultancy a digital identity that matched the scale of work they actually do. Government buyers, NGO partners, and corporate clients now arrive at a site that immediately communicates Bluebow's credibility, range, and track record. The services architecture made it possible to represent 12 distinct service lines without creating cognitive overload. The partner strip and case study sections function as a first-pass proposal — showing proof of delivery before any conversation starts. The AI insights section positioned Bluebow at the intersection of research rigour and forward-thinking tech advisory — a distinct and credible space to occupy.
