Brandon approached me about designing him a new logo for his personal brand as a motion designer. Our early chats revealed he has a strong connection to his family name, Falconer, so I had the idea of taking the 'F' and using it as the foundation to create a symbol of the bird form.

Initial sketches showed it worked well as a simple wing shape, which also brought in a nice sense of movement.

The image below shows the evolution from sketch to final version. After initially deciding on an outline style, Brandon requested a solid style which would be easier for him to animate and create some motion treatments from.
