Designstripe is a creative platform that provides customizable illustrations and design assets for brands and creators. The platform has been recognized as Product Hunt’s Top Product of the Day multiple times.

During my six-month role as a 3D artist, I created animated mockups using their custom render engine & Blender plugin. As a 3D artist, I worked directly with the developer to provide technical and user feedback, test new features, and pitch improvements to enhance the engine’s capabilities. I also collaborated with the art director to push the engine to its limits, ensuring the mockups were as realistic and high-quality as possible.

As the sole 3D artist on the team, I was responsible for creating high-quality animated mockups while also acting as a bridge between the art and development teams. I provided critical feedback on the engine’s functionality, tested new features, and helped shape its development by suggesting improvements that enhanced both workflow efficiency and final render quality. My role also involved refining materials, lighting, and animation techniques to maximize the visual potential of the custom engine.

This role was an exciting challenge that combined creative problem-solving with technical collaboration. I gained valuable experience working within a custom-built render engine and learned how to bridge the gap between art and development. Through continuous testing and iteration, I helped refine the engine while producing polished, high-quality animated mockups that elevated the platform’s offering.
