Talon Audit is a privacy-first website analysis platform designed to help teams identify and resolve weaknesses affecting security, reliability, user trust, and conversion. Instead of producing a disconnected list of warnings, it turns every finding into a structured decision: what was detected, why it matters, what should be fixed first, and how the improvement can be verified.

I led Talon from concept to live release, covering product strategy, positioning, UX/UI design, information architecture, audit methodology, full-stack development, AI-assisted remediation, pricing, privacy boundaries, and launch preparation. The project began as an independent product hypothesis rather than a predefined client brief, so the work included defining the category, product model, technical boundaries, and visual identity from the ground up.

Websites rarely fail because of one dramatic issue. They gradually accumulate smaller problems: missing browser protections, unsafe third-party scripts, weak cookie configuration, broken resources, confusing forms, unclear calls to action, and regressions introduced during deployment.

Existing tools often examine these areas separately, but visitors experience the website as one complete system. Talon therefore treats a website as both a technical system and a public trust interface.

Talon analyses websites across four domains that together capture the full surface a visitor encounters.

Exposure covers public security and privacy signals: headers, HTTPS, cookies, mixed content, third-party scripts, and visible configuration weaknesses.

Integrity focuses on broken routes, failed resources, script errors, forms, redirects, and reliability regressions.

Experience examines accessibility, mobile usability, speed, visual clarity, and interaction friction.

Conversion evaluates messaging, trust signals, pricing paths, calls to action, and barriers that prevent users from moving forward.

The product follows a five-stage workflow: Detect, Explain, Fix, Verify, and Monitor.

Talon begins with passive, low-impact analysis of a domain the user owns or is authorised to test. Each finding includes its classification, severity, confidence, evidence, impact, affected surface, and remediation guidance. Rather than stopping at detection, Talon helps users understand the issue, apply a practical fix, confirm whether it worked, and monitor for future regressions.

Talon is deliberately not positioned as a penetration-testing platform or exploit scanner. It does not attempt to bypass authentication, attack infrastructure, or replace an authorised security assessment. Its purpose is to provide a safe first layer of visibility based on rendered-page inspection, browser-visible signals, HTTP response analysis, TLS checks, cookie review, dependency inspection, and AI-assisted interpretation.

A central product decision was to prioritise meaningful action instead of overwhelming users with technical noise. Talon uses a transparent 0–100 score and ranks findings by severity, confidence, evidence, impact, remediation value, and affected domain.

This makes the product especially useful for founders, agencies, developers, and small teams that may not have dedicated specialists across security, accessibility, performance, and conversion.

To demonstrate the product without exposing customer data, I created a fictional environment called northstar-demo.example. The demo contains realistic findings:

Users can inspect the overall score, domain scores, evidence, impact, remediation, and verification flow without real domains appearing in a public registry.

The interface was designed to feel like a precision instrument rather than a conventional dashboard. The visual system uses a near-black background, warm off-white typography, restrained amber highlights, technical grids, engineering diagrams, sharp controls, and subtle radar motifs.

I intentionally avoided neon effects, cyberpunk styling, excessive glow, generic rounded cards, and fear-based imagery. Motion is similarly restrained: slow radar sweeps, subtle signal pulses, score animations, and quiet panel transitions used only to reinforce feedback and system activity.

Talon was built through a terminal-first, AI-assisted workflow using Codex 5.5 and Claude Fable. AI accelerated prototyping, implementation, interface iteration, debugging, motion work, code review, and remediation-language refinement.

The core value came from human product judgment: defining the four-domain framework, setting honest security boundaries, shaping the scoring system, protecting customer data, controlling the visual direction, and deciding what the product should and should not claim.
