During my internship at this company, I created a CRS for a hotel where users could manage bookings, guest lists, room rates, and other details. I was assigned to create several screens, including calendar, reservations, analytics, property setup, property rate, billing, and user management.

Design Guidelines

Calendar

I've created a calendar screen to simplify reservation management for front desk staff by providing a clear, real-time overview of room availability and bookings. Features like color-coded statuses, direct booking through clicks or drags, and detailed reservation info accessible via hover streamline the process, prevent overbooking, and ensure efficient, accurate service.
If we hover over one of the guests, we can see the booking summary based on their name, length of stay, price, and contact information. If we want to look further, we can click the "view details" button to see the rest.

Reservations

These are the reservations where the staff can see all the bookings in table view. We can see the booking ID, the name of the guests, which room they sleep in, what date they checked in and checked out, how many guests are in the room, what source they booked, and whether they checked in or not.

Analytics

Analytics page provides key insights into hotel performance through visual data representation. It features charts displaying weekly revenue, average room rates, and other essential metrics, enabling front desk staff and management to track financial trends, optimize pricing strategies, and make informed business decisions efficiently.

Property Setup + Room Setup

For this page, it allows hotel staff to input and manage essential property details. This includes the property name, type, address, and nearby popular landmarks to attract guests. Staff can also upload photos, define house rules, and specify other key information to ensure a complete and appealing listing. Designed as a structured form, this page ensures all necessary details are provided for better visibility and guest engagement.
For the room setup page, the hotel staff to define and configure room types and individual room details. Staff can create different room types by specifying the name and available amenities. After setting up room types, they assign individual room names (e.g., Room 101, Room 102) and provide key details such as room size, bed type, bathtub or shower availability, and included amenities. This structured setup ensures accurate room listings and smooth reservation management.

Property Rate

For this page, enables hotel staff to define room prices based on different pricing strategies. It includes six categories: Base Rate, Peak Season, Off Season, Weekend, High Occupancy, and Low Occupancy. This flexibility allows hotels to adjust rates dynamically, maximizing revenue while staying competitive across various demand periods.

Billing

Billing page provides an overview of the hotel’s subscription payments. Displayed in a table format, it shows the selected subscription plan, payment history, due dates, and outstanding amounts. This allows staff to track payments easily and ensure timely renewals.

User Management

User management page allows administrators to manage staff access and permissions. It enables the addition, removal, and role assignment of users, ensuring each staff member has the appropriate level of access based on their role. This helps maintain security and control over system usage.
