KAWS: WHAT PARTY was a major solo exhibition held at the Brooklyn Museum in 2021, featuring the work of celebrated contemporary artist KAWS. The exhibition showcased a wide range of KAWS's iconic paintings, sculptures, and designs, highlighting his distinctive use of pop culture imagery and bold, graphic style. The show included several new works and pieces from his extensive career, emphasizing themes of isolation, community, and the human condition. The exhibition drew significant attention from art enthusiasts and the general public, solidifying KAWS's status as a leading figure in contemporary art.

The purpose of my poster and ticket design was to market the KAWS: WHAT PARTY exhibition to a younger audience, utilizing vibrant colors to attract teens and adolescents. I focused on creating an engaging and visually dynamic design that would resonate with the youthful and energetic spirit of KAWS's work. By integrating bold, eye-catching hues and contemporary graphic elements, I aimed to capture the attention of young art enthusiasts and draw them into the exhibition experience.

My inspiration for this design came from a visit to a contemporary art gallery in Boston where I saw a collection of street art pieces. One mural, in particular, featured vibrant, contrasting colors and bold, graphic lines that immediately caught my eye. I was captivated by the dynamic interplay of hues and the sense of energy they conveyed.
