IFCO – Istanbul Fashion Connection Event Experience Design
IFCO (Istanbul Fashion Connection) is a fashion industry event platform designed to connect brands, buyers, and creatives within a curated exhibition and networking environment. The goal of this project was to build an event experience that feels modern, organized, and engaging — reflecting the energy of the fashion ecosystem while helping attendees navigate content, schedules, and connections with ease.
From a UX perspective, the focus was on
Clear information hierarchy for event programming, brands, and networking features
Intuitive navigation flow that helps users find sessions, exhibitors, and venue details with minimal effort
Accessible interaction patterns for quick glanceability in fast-moving event contexts
Users attending fashion events often interact with digital experiences on the go — checking sessions between talks, scanning exhibitors at booths, and connecting with peers between showcases. To support this, the interface prioritizes fast scan patterns, consistent visual cues, and clear feedback for actions such as bookmarking sessions or connecting with contacts.
On the UI side, the design system combines expressive fashion aesthetics with functional clarity
Purposeful spacing and grid logic — white space acts as a tool to group related content and reinforce visual flow without sacrificing density
Hierarchy in typography and color — key information (titles, times, locations) stands out clearly against secondary detail text
Reusable components and patterns — cards, lists, and navigation elements maintain consistency across screens and sections, reducing cognitive load
Brand-aligned aesthetic accents — subtle stylistic touches that elevate fashion sensibility while preserving usability
Every design decision was intentional: spacing and alignment support efficient scanning, component behavior supports predictability, and visual hierarchy guides the eye toward what matters most. The result is a digital event experience that feels organized, vibrant, and purpose-driven — helping attendees engage more deeply with IFCO’s fashion showcase and community.

Case Overview I led the end-to-end UI/UX design of a digital platform created for Istanbul Fashion Connection (IFCO), an international fashion trade exhibition. The project focused on designing a user-centered, brand-aligned experience that supports diverse audiences — from designers and manufacturers to buyers and industry professionals — while reflecting the event’s international scope and dynamic structure. Project Description IFCO operates as a meeting point for the global fashion ecosystem, bringing together Turkish fashion stakeholders and international visitors across multiple apparel categories. The platform was designed to accommodate complex content structures, clear navigation flows, and scalable information architecture tailored to different user needs.
