Creative Vibrancy Index for Africa

Introducing the Creative Vibrancy Index for Africa, a potent and innovative tool that offers essential insights into the backing provided to arts, culture, and creative enterprises within 12 African urban centers. The CVIA project was developed for the Creative Economy Practice of Co-creation Hub in Partnership with Africa No Filter and with additional support from the British Council.

Highlighted features include:

Performance Map, a comprehensive indexing of 12 African cities, evaluated across 22 indicators that pertain to 8 dimensions. These dimensions encompass the cultural, social, and economic vitality of cities, focusing on three major areas.

Exclusive Rankings Page dedicated to each city, furnishing intricate breakdowns of support levels in the three main focus areas and their respective dimensions. This page also offers comparative views with other cities, enabling a comprehensive understanding of the data.

Arts, Culture and Creative Industries Database, this database is curated to assist users in locating cultural establishments across any of the 12 African cities.
