Overview
In today's digital learning environment, students often rely on
multiple external communication networks like WhatsApp,
LinkedIn, and Telegram to interact with their peers. This
fragmentation can lead to missed messages, distractions, and
reduced engagement within the learning platform itself.
Accredian aims to create an integrated communication
the dashboard within its platform to centralize student
interactions, enhancing user experience, and promoting deeper
engagement.
Problem Statements
• Student Persona:
- I am: a student enrolled in Accredian's online
courses.
- I am trying to: communicate and collaborate with my
peers for group projects and study sessions.
- But: I have to switch between multiple apps
(WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Telegram) to do so.
- Because: Accredian does not have an integrated
communication feature.
- Which makes me feel: frustrated and less connected
to my academic community.
• Institution Persona:
- I am: an educator or institution administrator at
Accredian.
- I am trying to: keep students engaged and foster a
collaborative learning environment.
- But: students use external platforms for
communication.
- Because: Accredian's platform lacks a
comprehensive communication tool.
- Which makes me feel: concerned about student
engagement and retention.
User Story:
Before the introduction of Accredian's communication
dashboard, students like Sarah often felt overwhelmed by the
need to use multiple apps to keep up with her peers. She would
miss important messages and deadlines, leading to frustration
and decreased academic performance.
With the new feature, Sarah can now chat with her classmates,
participate in discussion forums, and schedule study sessions
all within the Accredian platform. She finds it easier to stay
organized, collaborate on group projects, and feel connected
to her academic community. As a result, Sarah's engagement
and satisfaction with her courses have significantly improved.
For the institution, the new dashboard means students spend
more time on the platform, leading to better retention rates
and a more vibrant learning environment. Accredian can now
offer a more cohesive and engaging experience, setting it apart
from other online learning platforms.
