Instant is a mobile app designed to make splitting expenses and settling group payments effortless — whether you're at a dinner, on a trip, or at a party. The project focused on removing the friction from shared costs by giving friend groups a fast, cashless way to track what's owed and settle up instantly. Splitting bills with friends sounds simple — until someone forgets, someone's short on cash, or no one can agree on who owes what. _Instant was designed to eliminate that awkward moment entirely. The challenge was to create an experience that felt as natural as handing someone cash — but faster, smarter, and stress-free. We focused on three core problems: tracking shared costs in real time, splitting expenses fairly without manual math, and enabling instant peer-to-peer settlement without needing physical money.
