Why Accounting: The Start

Our journey as a leading company in the industry began as an independent practice started by [REDACTED], with two foundational tenets kept in mind: trust and family. The goal was a firm where he could grow exponentially, not only to support his personal motivations, but to support his growing family’s needs. Other firms lack the individualism that [REDACTED] offers, and leave little room for professional growth, let alone personal growth. Our firm strives to uplift each team member, treating each individual as our family, and acknowledging and encouraging their successes. [REDACTED] emphasizes, “we trust our employees, and wish to reward them for their hard work and dedication, and encourage them to pursue their goals with limitless growth.” With these core aspects at the heart of our practice, the firm grew to include like-minded people, who all strive to build lasting relationships based on mutual clarity and respect.
Our team is composed of a multitude of professional backgrounds and personal motivations, but we all find a common ground in our love for accounting. The reason for choosing this industry varies from each team member, but we can all agree that this vocation provides satisfaction and fulfillment in our professional lives. This profession grants us a way to help our close friends and family with their personal finances and business affairs, allowing us to be partners in their success.
Some of us have come from families with small businesses, and witnessed first hand how integral the role of an Accountant is in its success, like our Partner, [REDACTED]. As he puts it, “we become involved in so many facets of their decision making process. As those relationships build, you start to realize that the numbers are just a starting point. The rewarding part of what we do is the advice that we are able to provide to business owners based on our understanding and experience. Assisting business owners to solve their problems and achieve their goals is the most enjoyable part of what we do.”

Through the focus of our Departments, and the support from our Committees, we are constantly innovating our practice in pursuit of our clients and our firm’s partnered successes.

ASSURANCE & ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT

This licensing is the differentiating component for a Public Accounting firm. It entitles us to prepare audit and review engagement reports. This allows us to secure the maximum number of co-op students. The current team within our Assurance & Advisory Department is our primary focus, and we extend that focus to our co-op students knowing they are our future lifeline. We are forward thinking and looking to have [REDACTED] specialize in chosen business industries and professional sectors within [REDACTED]. This department is proactive seeking new clients in these sectors, not reactive in their current compliance capacity. This Department keeps us close with our clients through continued interaction and empathy through our compliance work, allowing us to “get inside our clients’ heads,” so we can aid them to the best of our ability.

Moving our bookkeeping services and storage to the Cloud has made us innovative, adaptable, and accessible for our clients. This level of service and transparency has fortified another layer of trust between [REDACTED]’s bookkeeper and client. We provide timely and accurate financial data so that useful decisions can be made. This allows us to be engaging with our current accounting clients, and marketing our Cloud services to new ones. It also allows for the standardization in our work processes, allowing for more efficiency as our software and data sharing abilities evolve and improve. We secure more monthly bookkeeping services each month.

We gain their trust by taking the formality and frustration out of taxes and turning it into a friendly, easy and comprehensible experience for our clients. We help save their money with our financial expertise, and save their time by responding to governmental inquiries so they don’t have to.
