Web Design & Digital Production for The Book Club

Ongoing collaboration · 2023–Present

Since 2023, I've been a web design and production partner for The Book Club, a website agency serving clients across a range of industries. My role covers the full arc from design to launch: building pages, managing CMS content, preparing visual assets, testing sites, and troubleshooting issues across multiple platforms and clients.
Working this way — across many sites, teams, and tech stacks — has sharpened both my technical range and my ability to step into someone else's system and just get it.

What I Do

Design & Build Turn Figma/Adobe XD designs into responsive Squarespace and WordPress pages, matching brand colors, type, and spacing while building reusable templates and components.
Content & CMS Manage blog, team, product, and appointment content — organizing categories, tags, metadata, and assets so everything stays findable and filterable at scale.
Visual Production Rebuild designs in Figma with Auto Layout, create moodboards, generate AI imagery, and retouch/optimize photography.
QA & Maintenance Test staging sites pre-launch, catch broken links and layout issues, verify revisions, and troubleshoot live-site problems.
Marketing Support Publish blog content, pull analytics reports, and build gated content and lead-capture experiences.

Selected Projects

Wellness Insights — Service Page System Built a scalable template system for 20 service pages, including breadcrumbs, benefit carousels, custom accordions, and provider/booking info; designed around CMS structure, not just individual pages. wellnessinsights.com/our-services

Zahner — Ongoing Production, Design & Maintenance Long-running WordPress support for a large, content-heavy site: new blog posts, product and project pages, homepage refinements, and FAQ-to-accordion conversions; all built to feel native to an existing design system. azahner.com

Battery Builders Inc. — Website Migration Migrated a live site into a new WordPress build using Gutenberg, mapped the new information architecture in FigJam, rebuilt Figma designs from legacy Adobe XD files, and handled forms, staging, and QA for launch. batterybuilders.com

Silicon Valley Defense Group — NatSec100 Report & Site Architecture (2025) Mapped the site's full content architecture in FigJam, rebuilt the 2024 NatSec100 report in Squarespace (reverse-engineering the original's CSS gradients), and built placeholder data visualizations in Datawrapper from cleaned Excel data. https://www.natsec100.org/
Silicon Valley Defense Group — Website Refresh (2026) Led visual direction for a site refresh: moodboards, landing page redesigns, typography and hierarchy fixes, and AI-generated imagery aligned to the new creative direction. siliconvalleydefense.org

The Bigger Picture

Three years in, this collaboration has taken me across dozens of websites, industries, and platforms. What ties it together: the ability to drop into an existing system, understand it fast, and execute independently — without losing sight of the client's brand or the agency's standards.
