Redesigned a period tracking app's homepage to improve user engagement by making it more personalised.

What is Grace Health?

Grace Health is a women’s health app designed for emerging markets. It provides accessible health services and information to digitally connected women who lack trusted access to health services. Users can track their periods, understand their reproductive health, receive notifications and reminders, access discounted medical services, and educational content

The Problem

This homepage wasn't user-friendly.  The big header made it hard to see anything, and you had to scroll a lot to find what you needed.  Plus, important cycle updates were hidden at the bottom where users didn't see them. We needed to make it easier for people to use the app and see important information.

How might we redesign the homepage to make information more accessible and personalised?

The Solution

The homepage got a makeover! Now it's easier for users to see the status of their cycles and their tracked symptoms. The homepage is streamlined, so users don't have to scroll as much to find what they need. Plus, there's a new dynamic cycle card which shows users personalized content relevant to them.

Reduced header size

The header has undergone a size reduction to allow more content on the homepage to be displayed.

Less scrolling, more personalised info

Now, users can view their "Recently Tracked Symptoms" by swiping left on the Cycle card.

Dynamic Cycle cards

Upgraded the Cycle card with dynamic icons that adapt to reflect the user’s current cycle phase.
