I've spent an entire day

I've spent an entire day in a hospital waiting to see a doctor.
Not because treatment wasn't available.
But because I had no idea what was happening.
No updates.
No visibility into where I was in the queue.
No indication of whether I'd be attended to in 10 minutes or 5 hours.
Just waiting.
That experience stayed with me long before I became a product designer.
Years later, while working on the Config Makeathon, I found myself returning to that moment.
Because despite all the technology around us, one thing still feels broken.
We can track our food deliveries.
We can track our rides.
We can track our packages.
But when it comes to healthcare, patients are often left waiting with no visibility into what's happening.
That's why I built Seen.
Seen is a healthcare queue transparency experience designed to help patients make informed decisions before and during a hospital visit.
Patients can discover nearby hospitals, compare wait times, view specialists and services, join queues remotely, and track their position in real time.
Instead of arriving blindly and hoping for the best, patients can understand what to expect before leaving home.
Once a queue is joined, Seen provides visibility into queue position, estimated waiting time, progress updates, and what happens next.
Patients can also access directions, contact the hospital, save hospitals for future visits, and manage their healthcare journey from a single experience.
I used Figma Make to rapidly explore, prototype, and refine the complete patient journey from onboarding and hospital discovery to queue tracking and profile management.
What started as a design challenge became something much more personal.
Because I know what it feels like to sit in a hospital waiting room wondering what's happening.
And if given the opportunity, this is a product I'd love to take beyond a prototype and bring into the real world.
Seen explores a future where patients are no longer left in the dark.
Because healthcare is already stressful.
Waiting shouldn't be.
