Girl-Child Education & Women Empowerment NGO Website
Ohiomomoh Restorative Initiative (ORI) was already doing a great work in running programs that fund girl-child scholarships, support out-of-school girls through SS3, and equip vulnerable women with vocational skills and small-business capital.
But without a professional website, their story wasn't reaching the donors, volunteers, and institutional partners they needed to scale.
They needed more than a website. They needed a platform that could carry the weight of their mission. One that could translate the urgency of 7.6 million out-of-school girls in Nigeria into action from people who've never heard of ORI before.
What I Built
7-page fully functional website (with a donor-ready design)
Homepage - Impact-led hero with the founder's philosophy front and centre, live impact counters (10 women funded for trading, 7 girls enrolled for SSCE, 6 primary six pupils supported, 2 active programs), two-program overview, volunteer/donate/partner CTAs, newsletter signup, and success stories section
About Us Page - ORI's founding story, philosophy, and the founder's personal message from Deaconess Imonikhe Ohiomomoh Evelyn
Our Programs Page - Detailed breakdown of both flagship initiatives: Girl-Child Education (school fees, materials, leadership mentorship through SS3) and Women Skill Acquisition/Empowerment (vocational training, mentorship, startup capital)
Our Impacts Page - Real-world outcomes, beneficiary stories, and evidence of program reach across Nigeria
Get InvolvedPage - Three clear pathways for supporters: Volunteer (JotForm), Donate (giving page), and Partner (JotForm inquiry)
Contact Page - Full contact details, Auchi, Edo State address, and WhatsApp integration
Social media integration of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn
Mobile-optimized across all screen sizes for rural and urban audiences alike
SEO-friendly structure built for discoverability
Prototype built in Lovable before final production build in WordPress + Elementor
The Process
I started with a deep study of ORI's mission, programs, and target audience - understanding that this wasn't a typical nonprofit website brief.
The people visiting this site would be making decisions about trust: whether to fund a girl's education, sponsor a woman's sewing machine, or stake their organization's reputation on a partnership with ORI.
Every design and copy decision was made with that in mind.
The homepage was structured to lead with impact not jargon so first-time visitors immediately feel the urgency and dignity of the work.
I prototyped the full structure in Lovable to validate the layout and user flow quickly, then rebuilt the final production site in WordPress with Elementor for performance, flexibility, and ease of management.
The project ran from July 10 to July 21, 2026 (an 11-day end-to-end build including discovery, prototype, production, content integration, and launch).
The Result
Ohiomomoh Restorative Initiative launched with a professional, donor-ready website that authentically reflects the boldness of their mission.
The site gives them a credible digital home to approach funders, recruit volunteers, attract institutional partners, and grow a movement committed to the belief that when a girl child is educated and a woman is economically empowered, a family rises, a community grows, and a nation develops.
