Virgin Vodka is an Irish, family-owned distillery located in Killarney Ireland. Inspired by the art of Celtic Manuscripts from the middle ages, Virgin Vodka embraces passed-down traditions and the Celtic culture. Virgin Vodka has a unique distillery process that makes their Vodka the best Vodka. Their expert distillers only know the unique distillery process, and the eldest only passes it down to the next youngest to take their place. Virgin Vodka is a unique and traditional Vodka that has created a large cult following of Virgin Vodka lovers.

The Process

Virgin Vodka is a passion project that was inspired by my favorite alcoholic beverage, the classic Cran Vodka. This is my go-to drink when I go to dinner with friends. I've tried various vodkas and something that always caught my eye was the packaging. I designed this brand with inspiration from the Celtic Illuminated Manuscripts in the middle ages, one of my favorite periods of art. I admire the intricate and detailed designs throughout the books. I wanted to create a brand that incorporated these designs. In the manuscripts, the starting letting of a sentence is one of the most intricate parts of the lettering. I used this style to start with the first letter of the name. I chose red as the branding color because of the boldness that compliments the intricacies of the typography.
