Safe Software needed a Content Marketing Specialist who would take the blog to the next level. The blog was an important part of the overall marketing strategy and a successful way for us to connect with other writers and stakeholders within the data community.

The Spark ✨

To take the blog to the next level, I researched relevant topics and created topic clusters for guides. I also focused on popular pain points that BI & GIS Specialists face with spatial data and other customer pain points in order to highlight why the FME platform is the solution to all of that. Here are some stand-out blog posts: • A Guide to Modernizing Legacy Systems with FMEHow to Remove Data Silos and Information Silos For Good How to Leverage Business Performance with Data Integration (I edited this blog post and it was translated into Polish a month later!)

The Stats 💯

Timeline: 2021-2022 Deliverables: 1-2 blog posts per week, edited or written. Managed guest contributors and internal contributors through content briefs and weekly meetings to ensure that our content strategy aligned with the rest of the company's goals. Content briefs also gave writers a sense of direction for what keywords to include and what search intent or questions the blog post plans to address in order to ensure content is relevant and will rank in SERP and Google searches. • Number of keywords ranked increased by 15% over 8 months. • Blog has seen an increase from 1.5K visitors to 5K visitors in organic traffic during the past year. • Blog posts continue to be shared on LinkedIn

Throughout my career I've experienced the impact legacy systems can have on organisations. The ability of  to form direct connections with no or low code makes integrating systems far easier whilst enabling migration and reducing risk when you eventually move to a replacement. This article from  creators of FME and written by  gives a great overview of another non-spatial use of FME.
