Title: Cinderella

Part 1: Introduction

FADE IN:

EXT. CINDERELLA'S HOUSE - DAY

We see a rundown house located in the woods. There are chickens and other farm animals roaming around. We hear the sound of birds chirping and cuckoo clocks ticking.

INT. CINDERELLA'S BEDROOM - DAY

Cinderella, our protagonist, is seen sleeping in her bed. Her stepmother, LADY TREMAINE, is pounding on the door, waking her up.

LADY TREMAINE

(Shouting)

Cinderella! Wake up and start cleaning the house!

Cinderella groggily gets up from bed, looks out the window, and sees that her step-sisters, ANASTASIA and DRIZELLA, are already up and working.

Part 2: The Ball Invitation

INT. CINDERELLA'S KITCHEN - DAY

Cinderella is seen cooking and cleaning while singing a song. Her animal friends, GUS and JAQ, are helping her.

CINDERELLA (Singing)

(Song) A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes 

Suddenly, the doorbell rings. Anastasia opens it, and we see Prince Charming's messenger at the doorstep, holding a golden envelope.

MESSENGER

(Handing the envelope)

This is an invitation from the Prince. He is inviting every eligible girl in the kingdom to the ball.

Lady Tremaine sees the envelope and snatches it from the messenger.

LADY TREMAINE

(To Cinderella)

This is an opportunity for one of my daughters to meet the Prince. I will make sure Anastasia and Drizella are ready for the ball.

Cinderella looks sad and forlorn as she watches her stepsisters admire the invitation.

Part 3: Cinderella's Fairy Godmother

INT. CINDERELLA'S BEDROOM - NIGHT

Cinderella is seen crying. Gus and Jaq try to console her, but she is despondent.

CINDERELLA

(Sobbing)

I wish I could go to the ball.

Suddenly, a bright light appears in the room, and a magical fairy, THE FAIRY GODMOTHER, manifests before them.

FAIRY GODMOTHER

(Calmly)

Why are you crying, my dear?

Cinderella tells her about the ball invitation and how she wants to attend it. The Fairy Godmother decides to help her.

FAIRY GODMOTHER

(Confidently)

I will turn you into a beautiful princess and make sure you get to the ball.

She turns a pumpkin into a beautiful carriage, mice into horses, and transforms Cinderella into an elegant princess.

FAIRY GODMOTHER (CONT'D)

(Excitedly)

You shall go to the ball and meet Prince Charming, but remember, my magic will only last until midnight.

Cinderella gleefully sets off to the ball in her magnificent carriage as the sky fills with stars and the music swells in the background.

FADE OUT.
