Website for Investment Firm using Figma and Framer

In this project, I have imagined LKR Capital as an investment firm focused on investing in high growth potential businesses. I created a modern website for the firm, featuring easy navigation and detailed information about their services and team. The design reflects the company's professional image and commitment to quality financial advice.

Since LKR Capital is still raising capital for their fund, the primary purpose of the website is to gain the trust of potential investors and attract them to invest into their fund. This is why the website mostly focuses on why someone should invest in LKR Capital. It showcases the success of its investments and along with that, it also shows the team behind the investments which can make the business gain more trust and credibility.

The main objectives of this project are:

Create a visually pleasing website following modern design principles to make the business look professional and well established.

Make sure the website is responsive and adapts perfectly on all screen sizes and make sure it is compatible with all major web browsers.

Create a website that can gain trust of a potential investor convince them to invest into the fund.

Create a website that can showcase the success of the investment firm along with that showcases all of their investments in a portfolio page.

For this web design and development project, the first step was to create a design that aligns with the business and industry of LKR Capital. I followed modern minimal design principles to create a professional look for LKR Capital. This reflects the company's image as a reliable and trustworthy investment firm.

To maintain a visually pleasing structure, I used a 12-column grid. Column grids are important in design because they provide a consistent framework for layout and help to ensure that elements are aligned properly. A 12-column grid allows for a good balance between flexibility and structure, making it a popular choice for many designers.

I also used a fixed color palette consisting of a minimal number of colors that reflect the company's values. Using a fixed color palette helps to create a cohesive visual identity and ensures that all elements of the design are harmonious. Using fewer colors can also help to create a clean and uncluttered look, which can be particularly important for a professional business website.

Overall, my design choices for this project were guided by a desire to create a professional, cohesive, and user-friendly website that effectively represents the image and values of LKR Capital.

I had decided to use Framer to build the website that I had designed. Framer is a no-code website building tool with lots of advanced features to create a fully customized professional website. I also has an intuitive way to quickly and easily add animations to the website. Since I am building a static website that has only three pages, I decided Framer is a good choice to build the website in a short time without compromising quality.

I started my development process by at first creating some reuseable components of the design elements which will be used repeatedly. This helps me build the website in an efficient way which ultimately saves me time during development and also make the website more maintainable.

After that, I built the home page, team page and the portfolio page one after another. I have created break points for five different screen sizes including a tablet view and a mobile view to keep the website adaptive on all screen sizes and make sure the website looks good on all sizes.

I have also added some appear animations on the website to make the website more dynamic. But I have kept the animations simple and minimal to maintain a serious tone on the website. A fade animation is also used between page transitions so that the user experiences a smooth transition while navigating from one page to another ultimately increasing satisfaction among the visitors.

The results of this web design project were highly successful. The new website for LKR Capital effectively conveyed the company's professional image and commitment to providing high-quality financial advice. The clean and modern design, along with the user-friendly layout and detailed information about the company's services and team, made it easy for visitors to navigate and learn more about LKR Capital.

The website features three pages: Home, Our Team, Portfolio. The home page shows an overview of the firm, and it also includes a section to showcase their featured investments. The Our Team page showcases their team, and it also features sections describing their company culture and diversity statement. The Portfolio page showcases all of their investments and a glimpse of their investment methodology.
