POLLY POCKET x AIRBNB AD CAMPAIGN

As a once-avid user of the Polly Pocket toys, I decided to revamp the ad campaign for the Polly Pocket Airbnb listing. I used billboards, physical advertisements, social media content, and ad copy to garner excitement for the upcoming Polly Pocket movie and the business collaboration.
CLIENT: Airbnb
CHALLENGE: To revamp the advertising campaign for the "Sleepover at Polly Pocket's Compact" listing, and ignite interest in the upcoming Polly Pocket movie.
INSIGHT: Polly Pocket is a nostalgia toy, popular in the childhoods of many Millennials and older Gen-Z adults. I wanted to target the nostalgia factor, bringing these now-adults back to their childhoods and reminding them that the magic of their childhoods is still alive, just now bigger and better than ever.
PROPOSITION: Playdate with Polly
GUERILLA MARKETING IDEA: As many years have passed since the time of Polly Pocket, the magic of childhood has started to wither away. The bright colors and flashy design of the Polly Pocket Compact has become a timeless replica of what it felt like to be young. I wanted to remind people that the magic within the world of Polly Pocket is still within them, even if we are all grown up. I want to place Polly Pocket-ized world items, full-sized, around cities. For example, a bench at a bus stop could be swapped to become bright pink and shiny. Or a Polly Pocket styled makeup table could be placed at the mall, with real makeup on it. This could show people that we can (and should) still romanticize our lives, and that Polly Pocket is within all of us, in the little things we do every day.
