My Portfolio Website
Overview
This is my personal portfolio, built to show my web design work in one place. I build websites for clients all day, so mine always came last. This time I treated it like a real project, with a goal, a plan and a finished result.
The goal
I wanted a site that explains what I do within a few seconds and makes it easy for a business owner to get in touch. Anyone landing on it should know what I do, see the work, and know what to do next.
The process
I started with a wireframe, a plain layout of each page with no colors or fonts, so I could decide what a visitor sees first, what they read next, and where they act. Once the structure made sense, I moved into design, then built it out for desktop and mobile.
Design decisions
Large, bold headlines so the message reads quickly, with the line “Make the website do the talking” as the core idea
A dark background with a deep blue accent color, so the work and the main buttons stand out
A client notes section, so visitors see what other people say before they reach out
A clear contact section at the bottom, with email and social links in one place
A mobile layout designed on its own, not just a shrunken version of the desktop site
The result
A clean portfolio that is easy to read, easy to move around on, and built to lead visitors towards starting a project with me.
