RYFT Launch Film

A 40-second launch film for Neural's rebrand to RYFT. Neural was a platform for building games with AI, and RYFT is what it became. The film had to sell that moment to gamers who would happily scroll past anything that looked like an ad.
The story is told as a takeover. Gaming history plays across 28 consoles, the laptop where Neural builds games gets hijacked, Neural is "acquired" by RYFT Corp, and the pink RYFT mark tears through the screen.

The build

The match cut keeps one screen locked in place while the hardware changes around it, from a 1989 Game Boy to a PlayStation 5, with gameplay on every screen. Cuts land on a 126 BPM grid and speed up as it goes: one beat, then half, then a quarter.
The MacBook then becomes the place games get made. It types "build me a game", generates three worlds, and Neural boots. Warning windows pile up until the lights go out on the stab. NEURAL HAS BEEN ACQUIRED types out, Vesper (RYFT's character, generated with Kling 3.0 in Higgsfield) says hello and winks, and a 34° tear splits the Neural logo for the pink wordmark to punch through on the drop. It ends on YOUR NEXT LIFE IS LOADING... and a hard cut to black.
The takeover was built as code. Every frame renders from an HTML and JavaScript scene, so a note like "make the split more dramatic" became an animation change and a fresh render. The sound design was synthesised to the same beat grid: chip blips on the cuts, 47 warning beeps rising in pitch, a CRT zap, a sub hit on the acquisition line. Vesper's voice lines came from ElevenLabs.

The bridge

The four seconds between GAME OVER and the match cut took the most exploration. Each direction was built and reviewed until the Game Boy PLAY AGAIN? version made the jump feel like a reset rather than a cut.
