Before It Fades: AI Memory Preservation

Before It Fades began with a simple thought: some memories don't disappear all at once. They soften, blur, and quietly leave us before we realize how much they meant.

This project imagines an AI system that can preserve those fragile moments before they fade completely. A childhood street at sunset, a rainy bedroom window, a bedtime story, a familiar kitchen. Small human memories reconstructed into cinematic fragments of feeling.

Built in Melius, the workflow turns scattered memories into emotional analysis, visual direction, generated scenes, and moving restorations, creating a poetic glimpse of what AI memory preservation could feel like in the future.

Melius helped turn the idea into a connected multi-model workflow instead of separate AI outputs. I used Gemini 3 Flash for concept, memory collection, emotional analysis, and visual direction; GPT Image 2 for generating nostalgic memory scenes; and Sora for turning selected images into cinematic video moments.

The canvas made it easy to connect each stage, refine prompts, compare outputs, and keep the full project consistent from story to final walkthrough.

Melius made the process feel like directing a connected AI production system rather than generating isolated outputs. The canvas helped me move from concept to agents, images, video, and refinement in one clear visual workflow.
