Overview 🔎
As far as I can remember I’ve always wanted to become a film critic and at the end of 2013, pushed by my parents on a very boring evening, I decided to join in. My first blog “Off Screen Reviews” was born. My 16 years-old self took a leap of faith, writing *fingers crossed* for someone to read what I had to say. By setting up my own blog I intended to do some short, simple but effective film and series reviews each week. Plus some bonus posts along the way.
Through the years, the original blog evolved and changed quite a bit. It quickly became what it is now: a portfolio for my writing and a place where I’m free to express my opinion and how I see the world around me. I expanded my writing horizon to anything and everything in the realm of culture and lifestyle through a wide range of different feature articles.
I still am a film buff at heart and can’t help but come back to the movies. That’s why I’m trying to engage with people in wider and universal conversations through themes depicted on the big screen.
Let’s also not forget that Cinema is all about PERCEPTION. It’s very important to me people are aware that all views expressed on this blog are mine. I’d like to point that out because people tend to think that if reviews on a specific film are bad: they won’t go and see it. It’s wrong. You may love the film, as you may hate films with great reviews as well.
Perception is personal, so trust yourself and if you feel like starting a conversation, feel free to do so!
