appear [here] is the brainchild of entrepreneur Ross Bailey (who happened to be an ex-student of mine), and is an online marketplace for retail space. Using the idea of the 'pop up' as its core concept and by utilising empty retail units, it allowed creative startups and brands to showcase their ideas and products with ease and speed. Since the company was founded in 2014, it has facilitated the opening of over 10,000 stores in the UK, US, and France.

The branding and identity was very simple. A modern, minimal and almost 'non-designed' identity that could work with any brand, not overpowering it, but still creating a very visible typographic concept of the company.
