Summary: Pre-production for animation project Liberated From Paradise (Expelled From Paradise 2).
Context: TOEI Animation didn't have a set pipeline to tackle large 3DCG projects. Their tools and knowledge where scattered, and the information they had at hand was unreliable.

My Role: Look Developer
Responsibilities: Develop the look for the entire production and create an uber-shader that can be implemented across multiple DCIs and render engines.
Achievements and Results
Created a production ready uber-shader.
Designed a production pipeline taking into account multiple studios working on the same project.
Open the possibilities to increase the quality of the production by embracing the digital medium.
Challenges Overcome
The biggest challenge I faced in this project was getting my ideas across to the Director and Producers. Besides the language and cultural barrier, there is an immense knowledge gap regarding 3DCG productions.
