Celesya: How I Built an AI Spiritual Guide That Knows Your Soul Profile

Celesya is a consumer app built on a simple promise: a guide that already knows who you are. You share your name and date of birth, and every reading, answer and daily ritual is shaped by a personal soul profile that grows as you add details.
I designed and built the whole product, from the cinematic landing page to the database and the conversation experience.

The idea

Spiritual and self-reflection apps often feel generic: the same horoscope for everyone. I wanted a product where the guidance is personal, calm and grounded in the traditions the user actually follows, and where the more you share, the more accurate it gets.

From a few details to a personal reading

Users begin with a name and a date of birth. Optional details, such as birth time or a family name, unlock deeper layers. The profile draws on several traditions, including numerology, astrology, Vedic timing and elemental systems, and every part of the app reads from it.
A reading accuracy indicator shows how complete the profile is, so users see exactly what adding more will improve.

The Sanctuary: a daily dashboard

The home screen is a daily ritual, not a feed:
A daily wisdom that you unseal each day
A birth chart with sun, moon and rising signs and an elemental balance
Soul numbers from numerology, with an archetype for each
Moon phase, today's energy and a daily prayer
A daily reflection to write in
Upcoming spiritual moments over the next 30 days, each with a small ritual to act on
Four daily rituals with progress tracking, and a streak

The Guru: a conversation that remembers you

The guide is a conversation, not a chatbot form. Replies draw on the user's numerology, timing and tradition, and include scripture references where the user's faith calls for them. The tone is warm but direct, written to feel like a real teacher who knows you, with care taken over pacing and wording because an emotional product loses trust with one clumsy reply.

The Oracle

For decisions, the Oracle offers ten domains: marriage, business, career, money, a person in your life, relocation, family, timing, a spiritual crossroads and partnership. Each reading combines the user's soul profile, numerology, Vedic dasha and the timing of the question.

The Chambers: ten private rooms

Ten private spaces, each for a different kind of question: a dream interpreter, soul journal, compatibility, letters from your future self, a shadow room, a decision room, a life timeline, a weekly forecast, a ritual engine and a vault for the deepest readings.
The Decision Room, for example, asks the user for the question, two paths and what makes it hard, then holds up a mirror instead of giving an order.

A calm structure for a deep product

Navigation is five places: Sanctuary, Guru, Oracle, Chambers and Self. The interface uses a dark indigo and gold design with slow, deliberate motion so the product feels intimate, not clinical. It is built mobile first, with a bottom navigation on phones and a sidebar on desktop.

Under the hood

Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Supabase (Postgres and authentication) with versioned migrations for profiles, rooms, essays and relationships, an AI conversation layer with structured user context, email delivery for daily essays.
