My First Vote is a digital civic education campaign funded by the Swiss Embassy and implemented by Africa Youth Trust and Mumbi Mutuko. The aim of this project is to amplify first-time voter registration and enhance the youth's voting capacity through targeted civic education with messaging around meaningful participation in the electoral process.
The Spark ✨
The project aimed to encourage dialogue around value-based leadership that stresses issue-based politics. Finally, the project engaged 18-23 year olds on conflict management arising from divergent electoral ideologies, devolution and democracy, citizen power, social accountability and citizen reporting.

Deliverables:
• Reach at least half a million young people in Kenya.
• Focus solely on a digital campaign so we highly depended on 4 social media platforms
• Conceptualized & implemented communication strategies and campaign initiatives to increase awareness by 65%.
By running this campaign, we are aiming to create meaningful digital content that will get young people more engaged in dialogue on issue based politics and what devolution means to them, provoke them to participate in voting during the election period as well as inform and educate them on how to peacefully take part in the electoral process.
