Platform: YouTube Role: Senior Video Editor Term: April to July 2026 Tools: DaVinci Resolve, Adobe After Effects, Ableton Live

The brief

Beat-synced gamified content lives or dies on precision. When movement locks to music, a few frames of drift is the difference between something that feels satisfying and something that feels slightly wrong in a way viewers can't name but do respond to. The channel needed that precision at weekly volume, across a library that eventually ran past 60 videos, without the format drifting from one upload to the next. I was provided with AI-generated clips, a command instruction for the viewer to interact with the future, I had to make sure that each clip's actions matched the desired command movement at the exact beat with milimetric precision.

What I did

Built and maintained a consistent editing format across the full library. Beat-sync work was cut using wave curve speed ramps for frame-accurate timing against the music, with Ableton in the workflow to read the tempo grid rather than eyeballing the cuts. Each ramp was custom made for every clip, some needed more detailed attention than others, as even the most tempo accurate video generations from the latest models needed grid finessing so the action matched the command at the right time. To further enhance the gamified experience, I added custom-made AI generated SFX to precise trigger-command beat-synched moment.
Beyond the individual edits: designed opener animations, redesigned the video format itself, built motion design and text break animations, and set up indexed archive and compilation libraries so the back catalogue stayed usable as it grew.
Visual treatment and pacing were handled alongside the editing, with multiple revision rounds and quality control on every delivery.

The results

Top beat-sync pieces reached 35K views on the 67 Interactive Warm-Up within a month of posting, and 24K on the 67 Party Game, with multiple videos landing in the 24K to 35K range.
The more useful signal is durability. Beat-sync content held its performance weeks and months after posting rather than spiking and dying, which points to genuine audience engagement rather than a single algorithmic push.
