Overview

Propatize is a property management software designed for property and facility managers to manage facilities with ease, handle payments seamlessly, communicate with residents without hassle, and monitor access control. The goal was to create an all-in-one platform that simplifies daily operations while improving transparency, security and resident satisfaction.

The Challenge

Property and facility managers often juggled multiple tools to handle payments, complaints, and access coordination with security teams. This fragmented process leads to:
Delayed responses to maintenance and complaints
Poor visibility into payments and expenses
Inefficient communication between managers, residents, and security staff
Manual management of guest entries and resident access
A lack of trust and transparency between property managers and residents
Managers needed a single, reliable platform that could unify payments, communication, and secure access management without adding operational complexity.

The Solution

Propatize was designed as a centralized platform that empowers managers to oversee everything from finances to facility access in one place.
Key design and product decisions included:
Unified Dashboard: Real-time visibility into payments, complaints, and resident activities.
Seamless Payments: Track and reconcile rent, dues, and service charges easily.
Complaint & Maintenance Tracking: Manage requests from submission to resolution efficiently.
Resident Communication Tools: Announcements, messages, and updates in one organized feed.
Smart Access Management: Approve or monitor resident and guest entries directly from the app.
Mobile-first Design: Easy access and control, even on the go.
The result is a unified experience that enhances productivity, transparency, security and user trust between managers and residents.

My Role: Product Designer

As the Product Designer, I led the end-to-end design process, from research to final prototype, collaborating closely with the engineering team to ensure a smooth, user-centered experience.
My responsibilities included:
Conducting user interviews with property managers and residents to understand their needs and frustrations.
Designing user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes that simplify complex workflows.
Creating a consistent design system to maintain visual harmony across the platform.
Collaborating with developers to ensure design implementation matched the intended user experience.
Iterating based on feedback to improve usability and overall satisfaction.
