As Social Media Manager am responsible for developing and implementing a social media strategy that aligns with the overall brand messaging. This includes managing social media accounts, creating and publishing content, monitoring and engaging with followers, tracking and analyzing performance, staying up to date with social media trends, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing and creating campaigns, curating content, and building relationship with influencers and partners. Additionally, they also oversee employee engagement on social media, analyze competitor's strategies and maintain a content calendar.
My roles and responsibilities as a social media manager can vary depending on the specific organization and industry, but generally, they include:
Developing and implementing a social media strategy: This includes setting goals and objectives, identifying target audiences, and creating content that aligns with the overall brand messaging.
Managing social media accounts: This includes creating, scheduling, and publishing content on various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
Monitoring and engaging with followers: This includes responding to comments and messages, moderating content, and identifying opportunities for engagement and growth.
Tracking and analyzing performance: This includes monitoring metrics such as likes, shares, followers, and website traffic to determine the effectiveness of the social media strategy.
Staying up to date with social media trends and best practices: This includes staying informed about new features, tools, and developments in the social media landscape.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams: This includes working with marketing, sales, customer service, and other teams to ensure that the social media strategy aligns with the overall business goals.
Creating and managing social media campaigns, as well as ad campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
Creating and curating engaging content that aligns with the brand, and the company's message.
Building relationships with influencers and other partners to increase brand visibility.
Creating and implementing policies and guidelines for employee engagement on social media.
Keeping track of competitors and analyzing their social media strategies to gain insights.
Creating and maintaining a content calendar to ensure a consistent presence on social media.
