In spring 2021, I conceived and launched Explore Possible, an editorial initiative under Manitoba Possible designed to amplify the voices of Canadians with disabilities in digital spaces.

The premise was simple: disability perspectives were underrepresented online, and Manitoba Possible had both the audience and the credibility to do something about it. I developed the program from the ground up, writing the editorial mandate, soliciting pitches, evaluating submissions, working with writers to develop and refine their ideas, and editing each piece for publication. Every published contributor received an honorarium.

The first cohort produced 12 personal essays covering policy, invisible disability, ableism, mental health, accessible housing, and more, written by Canadians with disabilities from across the country. The program has continued to publish new voices since its 2021 launch.
