After the first launch of RIZEK, the founder reached out to me to help them pinpoint the main issues with app design & usability that were preventing the desired conversion. This included the customer app used for booking services as well as the "heroes" app used by service providers to accept/reject or update a current job.

First, talk to users

I asked the lead CX executive at RIZEK to connect me with a few of their most loyal users, I needed to conduct user interviews to hear from people what they struggled with the most and what is it they needed and did not have at the time. She provided 5 names, we were able to talk to a few of them they provided very clear and valid points to work on to maximize the app's benefit from user POV.
Great, now I needed to check competition.

Competitor Analysis

I performed an extensive competitor analysis between RIZEK and 5 competitors, comparing the similar journeys and learning from what the competition is doing right, or wrong. No need to reinvent the wheel.

Heuristic Analysis

Then came my role as UX expert and it was time to evaluate the current app against Nilesen's usability heuristics to fix any issues the app had in terms of design fundamentals.

Final Result

And finally, armed with results from the heuristic report, the competitor analysis and user interviews, I could with confidence present what I believed were the issues preventing the app from achieving the goals it was intended to in terms of business. So I listed all issues, sorted by impact and provided suggested solutions.

This was a great start to a very nice business collaboration, since after this project I was hired again to help with UI revamp of the app, worked on the CMS dashboard and started the RIZEK design system as well.
