Salesforce Developer and Consultant - PV Industry - 1 year

Project, Technology and Role:

In this project I had a pleasure to provide services as a Professional Salesforce Developer and Consultant for a client from PV and Energy industry through its cooperation with my source company.

My duties revolved around ensuring proper quality of development of technical part of the solution and providing expertise regarding future projects and system extensions.

Performing research on new tools and processes as well as conducting workshops with clients. Performing and supervising multiple production related operations regarding deployments, data operations and issue investigation.

Solution description:

Salesforce CRM and Case Management implementation with Sales and Service clouds, multiple Rest, Soap, Mulesoft or Email integrations. Extended Salesforce Service cloud features, technologies and extention such us Field Level Service, Omni-channel routing, dynamical case management and CTI integration.

Key resposibilites:

designing, implementing and documenting Salesforce projects and solutions (Salesforce Apex, Flows, LWC, Visualforce, SOQL, Salesforce Inspector, Mulesoft)

leading a team of one junior salesforce developer with mentoring and up-skilling

refactoring outdates modules and components to follow best practises regarding object and resources management, ensuring maintaing proper code and solution quality with constantly performed improvements to legacy parts of the solution

working with integration solutions with external systems (Rest API, Soap API, Mulesoft)

working client representatives on gathering requirements and planning implementations of future modules

ensuring successfull implementation of ongoing projects, consulting and proposing solutions which are the best fit for the client needs

preparing deployments to all kinds of environments (developer, test, pre-prod and prod), running scripts and performing necessary data fixes, pre and post-deployment steps or investigating issues

working with automatic deployment pipelines, providing code review, best practises for the projects, code refactor and process improvements (CI/CD, Bitbucket, GIT, Azure Devops, JIRA, Postman)

Results and Impact:

As a direct result of my assignment it was possible to successfully maintain and develop solution with multiple medium sized modules deployed to the production org as well as refactor different parts of a legacy system to ensure much better maintainability, resource usage and issue management for the solution.

Best achievement during this assignment would be the successfull refactor of the user related consents mechanisms (GDPR related) which resulted directly into freeing up to 20% of production storage without any data loss but with much more improved processes, better consents handling and ensuring better quality standards and best practises are followed here.

As a direct feedback from the management and the client representatives the solution was working great, improving every month of my presence in the project and since my assignment started all the production deployments performed under my supervision were seamless and did not cause any issues.
