Project Title: Withjara - UX Design for E-Commerce and Vendor Dashboard

Project Overview

When I got the call to work on Withjara, a budding e-commerce platform, the mission was clear: create an experience that works not just for the customers shopping for products, but also for the vendors managing and selling them. The client had big ideas for simplifying online shopping and streamlining vendor operations, and that’s where my UX design expertise came in.
Working alongside the client, we kicked off the project with a series of user research sessions, diving deep into the pain points faced by customers and vendors. We understood that the key to success would be creating a seamless user experience that bridged the gap between the two sides of the platform. This research laid the foundation for everything that followed.

My Role

As the lead UX designer for the project, I took on full responsibility for crafting both the customer-facing mobile app and the vendor dashboard. Every design decision was made with one goal: to provide an intuitive, easy-to-use experience that enhances efficiency for vendors and improves the shopping experience for customers.

Design Process

Research Collaboration:
We started by conducting joint user research, gathering feedback from real users, vendors, and stakeholders. This allowed us to understand the specific needs and frustrations of both groups.
For customers, we learned that the shopping experience needed to be fast, intuitive, and stress-free. This meant easy navigation, clear product images, and a streamlined checkout process.
For vendors, the challenge was creating a dashboard that was both powerful and simple to use. It had to be easy to manage products, track orders, and monitor sales without feeling overwhelming.
2. User Flows & Wireframes:
With the research insights in hand, I began mapping out user flows to visualize the journey of both customers and vendors. For the customer flow, I prioritized simplicity, ensuring they could quickly browse, add items to their cart, and check out without friction. For vendors, I mapped out how they would manage products, view orders, and track earnings.

3. High-Fidelity Designs & Prototyping:
Once the wireframes were validated, I moved on to creating high-fidelity designs that reflected Withjara’s brand identity. I designed the mobile app to be responsive, with smooth transitions and vibrant visuals to make shopping enjoyable. The vendor dashboard was designed with clean interfaces and easy-to-read data to ensure vendors could manage their business efficiently.
4. Usability Testing:
To ensure both the app and the dashboard met user expectations, we tested the designs with real users. Feedback was gathered, and refinements were made to simplify navigation, reduce cognitive load, and improve usability. The result was a highly responsive mobile app and an intuitive vendor dashboard, both with a focus on user-centered design.

Key Features & Solutions

Customer Mobile App:
Simple Navigation: Easy browsing and filtering of products.
Seamless Checkout: Streamlined payment process, reducing cart abandonment.
Responsive Design: Optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop users.
2. Vendor Dashboard:
Product Management: Simple interface for adding and managing products.
Order Tracking: Vendors can easily view and manage incoming orders.
Sales Analytics: Vendors can monitor their performance with intuitive charts and data.

Results & Impact:

Customer Experience:
Withjara’s mobile app now offers a frictionless shopping experience that allows users to make purchases easily. Users reported increased satisfaction, with more seamless browsing and faster checkouts—leading to higher conversion rates.
Vendor Efficiency:
The vendor dashboard simplified operations, enabling vendors to track orders and earnings with minimal effort. Operational efficiency improved dramatically, and vendors reported feeling more in control of their business processes, saving time on managing orders and inventory.
Business Growth:
Withjara’s e-commerce platform now has a strong foundation to scale, offering a user-friendly experience for both vendors and customers. The responsive design of the mobile app and robust vendor tools set Withjara up for future growth and expansion.
