Developer Community for Database IaaS Leader

Worked with an innovative giant and leader in the database vendor space to launch a developer community. As the first community hire into the newly formed developer relations organization, I launched and grew the developer community from 0 to 10,000 members in year one, implementing Discourse and Bevy platforms, and launching the community as a “team of one.” I later hired and led the community team that drove a further 40% in membership growth in Q4 2020 alone, doubled the size of the meetups and user groups program membership, and launched the developer advocacy program.

I went on to manage the migration of 60,000 additional University users into the developer community and work with fellow developer relations stakeholders to build out a cohesive digital developer experience, centered on the developer hub and integrating the community, university, docs, SDKs and APIs, and other developer assets and platforms. I led the effort to implement SSO across all platforms and worked with stakeholders across the organization to organize and support other developer-centric initiatives, like a community track at the annual corporate event and the open source initiative, O-FISH, the app our community developed on behalf of the non-profit, WildAid.
