Huckletree is a co-working community with locations throughout Europe, recognized for fostering environments where innovative thinkers unite to advance industry progress. During my tenure at a London-based design studio, I constructed a new website for Huckletree, aiming to provide its members with an intuitive user experience and stand out from competitors. The website design needed to reflect Huckletree's unique selling point, which is its emphasis on community.
As a member of a London-based design studio, I conducted thorough user research to understand why Huckletree's members chose their platform. I gathered feedback from existing members on their likes and dislikes about the existing site, with a focus on the importance of community. Based on this feedback, we designed a space that highlights the members and their companies, emphasizing the community's story and its people, rather than the physical spaces themselves.
In my design work for Huckletree, I incorporated unconventional layouts, transitions, and animations that were inspired by the bold graphic design and unique interiors of their London spaces. My goal was to seamlessly merge the online and physical experiences for users. As a community-centric touch, I included the founder's handwriting as accent text in the design.
My goal in designing the website for Huckletree was to create a playful and branded experience that not only highlighted the community, but also celebrated the individual members and their companies. The user experience was a top priority, and I worked to ensure that it was seamless and intuitive.
