Leo — AI Document Transcription & Research Workspace
Product context
Leo is an AI-enabled workspace for historians, archivists, and researchers working with difficult handwritten and printed documents. The public product combines document viewing, transcription, collection organization, search, analysis, and export in a single research workflow.
The product challenge
A useful transcription product must do more than return text. Researchers need to compare the result with the original page, move through multi-page collections, preserve useful metadata, search previous work, and export material without losing context. The interface also has to remain approachable for users who may not work with technical tools every day.
Product approach
The experience keeps the source document and its transcription together, supports organized collections, and makes AI-assisted analysis part of a wider workflow. Public product features include transcription for challenging historical handwriting, folder-based organization, advanced search, summaries and extraction, and export to common research formats.
Relevant contribution
My portfolio contribution relates to full-stack SaaS work and AI-enabled document workflows: connecting application interfaces, backend services, data handling, and model-driven features into a usable product experience. This presentation focuses on the parts relevant to that engineering work and does not imply sole authorship of the wider platform.
