Nowadays, having a crush (also known as puppy love) on someone is quite a common phenomenon especially during childhood or early adolescence. Your crush could be one of your friends, a person you've just met, or someone who doesn't even know you at all and you can even have more than one crush.
One of the main indicators that you're starting to develop a crush on someone is when they are constantly present in your mind the whole day. The thought of them gets you excited and flustered that you could just giggle complacently around a corner and twirl your hair. Often times, crushes incline into stimulation to get someone through their day.
That occurrence is completely harmless and pretty much wholesome. It is normal for everybody to have their own different person to think about or anticipate throughout the day and in fact, crushes are actually healthy for your brain according to Science since they help us function better every day.
However, the thing is, crushes doesn't always have to be romantic. It could stem from mere admiration or appreciation. Furthermore, Psychologists also claim that crushes don't even persist more than four months. So, if your adulation perseveres despite all odds, then it's most likely that what you're feeling is beyond just an innocent crush.

1. You feel at ease

Have you ever experienced having "butterflies" in your tummy when you make eye contact with your crush? Or do you sense the want to withdraw out of fear after coming face to face with them? The opposite of that is what you might experience when your sentiments develop into something more profound, like love.
Falling in love may feel incredibly thrilling and overwhelming at some point, hence, the "crush" incidence; however, when it gradually progress into something more deeper and more meaningful, you eventually reach to the point where you start to feel calm around their presence and that there is absolutely nothing to worry about because that's just how they make you feel, safe and protected.
When you are with them, you don't feel excluded or invalidated; rather, you somehow embrace who you really are in front of them, as though you shouldn't be frightened to display your true self.

2. Nothing is a hindrance to you

Regardless of the distance, the hour, or the situation. Contrary to what some people may believe, love can compel you to take actions that you wouldn't normally choose to take and only do so because of them.
Because it's them, you're doing it for them, and that demonstrates how much your feelings have grown, you think it's worthwhile. It might have taken you ten years to wait for that person, they might live hundreds of miles away, or they might love something you don't but you'd still pursue them.
Simply said, when you love someone, your mind becomes entirely honest and receptive to what they might be able to offer you. You might occasionally surprise yourself by accomplishing something you didn't think you were capable of. But then again, we are talking about love.

3. You would always choose them

Let's say, you could wish to entirely let go of whatever leftover feelings you may have for a particular crush. To do that, you make the decision to get out and meet new people—or possible crushes—but no matter how much time passes, you never truly forget about them or your feelings for them.
It's been a while since you've last saw them and you firmly believe that seeing them again wouldn't affect you that much then you learn the hard way that you're simply feeding yourself with lies when you ultimately meet them again because as unfair as it may seem, all the emotions come flooding back and you're back to square one.
Because they're just different and the way you feel about them is more than just a long-term crush, regardless of how many people you meet or try to push yourself to love. When you give it some thought, you'd actually rather pick them over everyone else.
because you can't imagine being in love with anybody else but them.

4. You trust them

One of the most important elements in every relationship is trust. Trusting someone will always be risky; doing so could make or destroy you. Use good judgment while making decisions and keep in mind that you should earn someone's trust rather than trying to manipulate them into doing so.
Love is when you trust someone so completely that you feel safe enough with them to finally allow yourself to let down your guard. You would sense that everything will be alright in their company and that you should have faith in them.
Because you trust them and are confident they are acting in your best interests, you don't even worry too much about what they do.

5. Their opinions matter

It's a sign that you love someone when you find yourself wondering what they may feel or think about this subject or event. The knowledge of how their mind works and how they feel gives you a sense of content and accomplishment.
You are quite interested in their various points of view on many issues and you want to know what they have planned for the future, among other things. You frequently feel the need to be aware of their opinions on your ideas when you're considering doing anything for them.
You might occasionally wish for their approval, and the best way to get it is to understand exactly what they want or need.

6. Planning your future with them

Do you ever sit alone in a corner and imagine what your future might hold? When you love someone, they frequently end up playing a role in your aspirations for the future. Even if your tale hasn't yet begun, you already have an idea of what you want and where you want to take it.
That actually demonstrates your seriousness about this person, which is actually one of the healthy signs of love. They are already included in your plans since you are positive that you will pursue them.
Overall, love and feelings will always play a significant role in our lives; we just need to figure out how to handle them. Reminding everyone that not everyone has all day, if you truly love someone, start gathering your bravery and don't waste your chances.
Love is difficult, but it is also everything. This can be helpful if you're in a situation right now when you're unsure of your feelings. Good luck, lover people!
