Sillage is a handcrafted scented candle brand from Maringá, created by Karina with a simple and meaningful purpose: to transform small moments of rest into more welcoming and memorable experiences.
However, while researching the name’s availability for registration at INPI, she discovered another company using the same name in a very similar segment.
To avoid future conflicts and ensure a secure path forward, it became clear that the best decision was to create a new name — one that was unique, authentic, and truly her own.
New name
After exploring more than 140 possibilities, we found a name that immediately caught Kaju’s attention and met all the strategic criteria defined at the beginning of the process.
Beyond the emotional connection, we validated its availability for trademark registration at INPI, domains, and ensured ease of pronunciation, spelling, and memorability.
It was important that the name was not only beautiful, but also strong and ready to grow with the brand.
Before and After
A new visual identity for a new name
With the new name defined, it also created the opportunity to build a new visual identity, one that could more accurately represent the brand’s essence and positioning.
The identity needed to feel premium, while still remaining human and welcoming. More than aesthetics, it had to communicate care, quality, and the intention to make moments of rest even more special.
