Generic task managers like Todoist or Notion are built for professionals. Students have a different relationship with time — assignments, exams, group projects, and personal goals all compete for attention in ways that don't map neatly to a standard to-do list.
Design Approach
Started with user research to understand how students actually manage their workload (spoiler: mostly in their heads or on paper). Identified 3 core pain points: forgetting deadlines, poor prioritization, and no visibility into upcoming crunch periods.
Designed around a weekly view as the primary mental model, with a calendar layer for deadline awareness and a habit tracker for personal goals.
Key Design Decisions
Weekly planner as the default home screen — not a flat list
Color-coded subject tagging for instant visual scanning
Deadline proximity indicators that escalate urgency without causing anxiety
Habit streak system to encourage consistent daily use
A mobile-first task management app designed specifically for students, balancing academic deadlines, personal goals, and daily habits in one clean interface.
