Public Health Outreach Course Development

My longest standing client relationship is with Mainline Foundation, which specializes in providing harm reduction services in the Netherlands and works on harm reduction outreach and education internationally. My role has been to develop the visual identity of their online Harm Reduction School. I perform this work in multiple parts:

1) Course content writing. I have written and edited multiple ~80 page courses, complete with outlines for graphics, interactive components, and assignments. These each include first a reading and organization of resources, structuring the content of the course, and finally writing it for an entry-level demographic.

2) Designing the course. At the beginning of this project I created documentation for the visual identity of the courses and the Harm Reduction School as a whole. I use this guide for creating templates and individual graphics that continue to strengthen the design uniformity and user experience.

3) Uploading the course into an LMS platform- in this case, Teachable. I do so almost exclusively through their custom code upload with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript. I have created a template for the stylization of the code, but continue to update these with each upload as the school expands, to accommodate for new ideas. I code these courses to be mobile-responsive to maximize accessibility.

4) I will re-upload these courses in other languages when translations have been made available to me.
