I get it, some days the thought of 1.) crawling out of bed, 2.) putting on your yoga clothes, 3.) rolling your mat out and actually START practicing yoga seems like too much. And that’s okay.

Here are my five go-to poses for a super chill yoga-in-bed-session:
#1: Legs up The Wall
how to practice it:
sit as close to the wall as possible
lie back and swing your legs up
your arms can either rest by your side,
or you can also bring one hand to your heartspace and one hand to your belly
to come out of the pose, bend your knees and gently roll to one side
benefits:
eases tension in the legs
improves circlulation
super relaxing
#2: Happy Baby
how to practice it:
lie on your back
bend your knees towards your chest
grab your ancles/the outer edges of your feet/your big toes
option to roll from side to side to massage your spine
to release, hug your knees in and then extend your legs out again
benefits:
releases tension in the hips
and in the lower back as well
#3: Reclined Butterly
how to practice it:
lie down on you back
bend your knees and bring the soles of your feet together
adjust the distance between your feet and your body until you find your sweetspot where you feel most comfortable
your arms can rest by your side with your palms facing up,
or you can also extend your arms above your head (optional: place your hands into a mudra of your choice)

#4: Seated Forward Fold
how to practice it:
sit up
extend your legs in front of you
take a deep breath in to lengthen your spine
hinge from the hips, as you gently fold forward
reach your shins, ankles, or feet
bent your knees as much as you need to
with every exhalation, see if you can relax into the pose a little bit more
benefits:
nice stretch for the spine, hamstrings and calfs
aids digestion
supports the kidneys and liver
#5: Supine Spinal Twist
how to practice it:
lie on your back
extend your arms to the sides in a t-shape
bend one knee towards your chest
on your exhale, let it drop in the direction of the extended leg
turn your head the opposite way
while keeping your shoulders as close to the ground as possible
benefits:
improves mobility and flexibility of the spine
stretches the hips and shoulders
aids in detoxification
