As a solopreneur in 2013, I founded Finest, soaring to the top 5% on Shopify, achieving $130,000 in gross revenue and 600 orders within 24 months.
Research and UX Strategy:
Inspired by the rising trend of micro-pendant necklaces in Los Angeles, I sought to democratize fine jewelry. The initial Adobe Muse-designed website launched in 2014 with a focus on quality and affordability, gaining popularity on Instagram. Transitioning to Shopify enhanced the user experience.
Design and Problem-Solving:
Shopify empowered me to optimize conversion rates, allowing a seamless brand experience. Designing graphics, products, and packaging, I maintained fresh content and collaborated with Chinese manufacturers for low MOQs. Shifting to US manufacturing and 3D printing, I utilized KeyShot for rendering, replacing traditional photography.
Meeting User Needs:
Constantly engaging with customers on social media, I incorporated feedback and digital strategies based on Shopify analytics.
Vision and Innovation:
Shifting to domestic 3D printing in New York, I mirrored the trend in industrial design seen in products like Nike & Adidas running shoes. The entire Finest collection, including custom pieces, embraced 3D printing, setting it apart in delivering the highest-caliber product.
