LUCA: Women's Cycling Apparel on Framer Commerce

LUCA is a UK women's cycling and spin apparel brand, built on the belief that women deserve kit made for them rather than adapted from men's ranges. They had an outdated site that was holding the brand back and, crucially, was awkward to keep current, a real problem for a brand that refreshes seasonally and releases new products regularly.
I designed and built the entire site from scratch in Framer Commerce, which pairs a Framer front end with a Shopify backend: Shopify runs the commerce engine while the front end gets full design freedom. That freedom is what let the site match the brand properly, considered art direction, video heroes and playful touches like a custom cursor, rather than the constraints of an off-the-shelf theme.
The most technical part sat underneath, on the Shopify side. I structured the product data so the Framer front end could pull information dynamically and drive the shop-by-style browsing, so the catalogue stays organised and filterable as the range grows rather than needing manual rebuilding each time.
The whole thing was built to be the client's to run. The site uses a shared colour system, and I handed it over with custom video instructions so the client can roll out a full seasonal palette refresh across every page themselves, in one go, without me. New product drops slot in the same way, no development work needed. The result is a premium store the brand keeps current on its own, season after season.
