AI Avatar App for Influencer

BACKGROUND

Tasked with building an enhanced version of Elle's prototype, the team had to create an AI avatar for real-life TikTok influencer Elle Kristine, all within the confines of an iOS mobile app. The objective was clear: to develop a more intelligent AI than what Chatbase could provide while delivering fast response, exceptional user experience leveraging text-to-speech, and a custom avatar modeled after Elle.

CLIENT GOAL

The client's primary objectives for AskeElle were straightforward yet challenging: to create an AI avatar with text-to-speech capabilities that mirrored Elle Kristine's speaking style, ensuring minimal latency, and providing up-to-date AI functionality.

CHALLENGES

The team faced several hurdles while building this project. Some include:

1. Matching Elle's speaking style in text-to-speech, integrating Elle's voice seamlessly into the Avatar's responses, and using phoneme mapping to have the Avatar's mouth movements match the sounds produced by the text-to-speech.

2. While passing our data through 7+ unique technologies, we were conscious that we had to keep latency low and Elle's response time <1 second so users could enjoy a seamless and exceptional experience.
