OnTop, a project spearheaded by a dynamic team of developers, aimed to streamline international payroll management for businesses. The project involved planning, designing, building, and supporting the development of QuickBooks and BambooHR API integrations, enabling seamless data exchange between platforms.

CLIENT GOAL

The client's objectives for OnTop were ambitious yet crucial for business growth. Their primary goals were related to customer acquisition and reducing customer churn. Some of their goals were to:

Acquire new customers by offering enhanced integrations.

Prevent churn by saving existing customers who need BambooHR integration.

Prevent churn by saving existing clients who require QuickBooks integration.

CHALLENGES

The team encountered several challenges, including adhering to a tight schedule and adapting to evolving client needs. Additionally, integrating with existing systems like QuickBooks and BambooHR required meticulous planning and execution.

KEY FEATURES

QuickBooks Integration:

Create new vendors in QuickBooks when new workers start contracts in OnTop's platform

Bulk sync previously created vendors in QuickBooks via email address validation.

Update vendor information (name, address, contract type) seamlessly.

Create new invoices in QuickBooks and associate them with vendors generated in OnTop's platform.

Update invoice statuses to paid in QuickBooks once payments are processed in OnTop's platform.

BambooHR Integration:

Initiate onboarding (KYC) processes in OnTop's platform when new workers are added in BambooHR.

Update workers' information in OnTop's platform based on changes in BambooHR.

Create bulk profiles and initiate onboarding processes for new contractors listed in BambooHR.

Activate contracts in OnTop's platform upon start dates indicated in BambooHR.

Terminate contracts in OnTop's platform upon removal or termination dates in BambooHR.
