Personal Project: Sci-Fi Futuristic Brain Laboratory

For a Spline 3D modeling and materials experiment, I created a 3D sci-fi laboratory.
All objects except for the brain were made natively in Spline. For the brain, I modeled it in Blender and imported it as OBJ data into Spline.

Sci-fi Futuristic Brain Lab

Prop 1 : Glass tank with a brain

In this mysterious lab, there is a capsule tank with tubes and cables. Inside the glass tank is a brain, and you can see the ring at the bottom continuously changing colors.
Small bubbles also float from the bottom to the top, created using a particle emitter in Spline.

This brain tank has multiple tubes and cables. At the top of the tank, you can see small spheres continuously rising from within the tank to the surface. To show the different types of tubes, I created transparent tubes and tubes with a dim light reflection. You can see various material assets in this cut, including metal, plastic, and glass.
To optimize the scene size as much as possible, I didn’t use any image textures for the materials except for the poster and monitor on the wall.

Prop 2 : Digital Projectors and Virus Vials

Behind the brain tank, there is an experimental desk with a digital projector displaying a brain and rotating DNA. There is also a scanning machine with three rings and buttons, each holding a virus vial. The wall monitor in the background shows scanning data from the machine. I created this texture using Adobe Firefly. You can also see a tube from the desk connected to the brain tank, providing the substantial electric power needed to operate it.

Prop 3 : Secret Keys

There is a hidden interaction with the small handle on the key box.
When you mouse down or tap on the small box on the wall, the door will open, revealing two mysterious keys hanging inside.

Scene Lighting and Reflection

The floor and walls have a slight reflection. To emphasize the hardness and coldness of this eerie lab, I created a hard steel floor material that reflects light in the scene. I set up two primary lights: a key light from above to illuminate the entire scene in blue, and a point light to highlight the brain tank.
Most of the lighting is blue, but to add a hint of danger, I added a neon red sign that marks the restricted area.
