With Peter Gabriel's SO album as an influence and a YouTube video titled "Tallest statue size comparison - 3D animation" as a trigger, Chris Farren composed this melancholic track to conclude his fifth solo album. Later on, the imagery evoked by the song inspired me to create a Lyric visualizer for it.

I brought the colors from the album cover art to be the universe where the video lives. Scans of statues from the Scan The World initiative were essential to ground the video in a more tangible reality. Everything unfolds in this hazy purple and pink world, but the song's lyrics could be the actual thoughts of any statue we've seen in person.

Initially, I worked on the idea that the link between the song's world and the real world would be through projecting album cover art onto the statues. Besides being more demanding to render, it would be a complete spoiler of the reveal at the end of the video. 

Using the reference image from the cover, I created a model of the statue.
